Tesla Motor conversion- VW Kombi
Design and manufacture of motor mount to hold a Tesla large drive motor in place of the original VW engine and transmission. The Motor mount is essential to the structure of the vehicle and so design had to go through the process of Low Volume vehicle testing certification. Laser cut and folded Sheet steel was used.
VW New Zealand EV Launch- VW Kombi Battery Boxes
Design and manufacture of Battery boxes for a VW Kombi built for the 2022 All electric Kombi launch in New Zealand by Volkswagen. Two separate boxes created with mounting systems for individual cells and controllers. One in the engine bay and the other Underbody with an incorporated bash-plate for cell protection.
